- Steven Kimbrough in association with eWorld Companies Inc, produced the first Marbella 24 hours Film Challenge, as part of the fringe at the October 2008 festival.

Teams had 24 hours to complete a 5 minute film, including writing, shooting, editing, credits etc.
The teams drew their film title and genre on the Thursday evening 2nd of October 2008, during the film festival opening event with the awards for the winning films being presented at the Saturday evening Gala Awards dinner.
