In collaboration with the Marbella Town Hall, the Marbella Casino, Target Events and the H10 Andalucia Plaza Hotel, the Marbella International Film Festival held a week long screening of films from its past festivals in open air cinema at Plaza Antonio Banderas in Puerto Banus, with audiences apprising the outstanding films presented.
The films shown were a mixture of shorts, animation, documentaries and full length, from the UK, Spain, USA, Italy, Iran, India, Ireland, Russiaand many other countries.
It was the first time the festival has held outdoor screening in Marbella, as part of its world tour, and which for many spectators it became a nightly event during the week long evening shows.

It is anticipated that due to this successful collaboration, the open air screening by Marbella International Film Festival , will now become an annual event during the August, bringing cultural evenings free of charge to Puerto Banus and its visitors.
The summer program has been an anticipation of the 5th edition of the Marbella International Film Festival which will be held Oct. 15-17 at the Hotel H10 Andalucia Plaza. Screening over 40 films from the international cinema in competition, with many films premiering in Marbella, along with return of the much publicised “24 hour Film Challenge” open to all interested filmmakers and many fringe activities.
The inaugural red carpet party at the Casino on 15th October was attended by celebrities and film makers from all over the world and the Awards ceremony gala Dinner brought the festival to end on 17th October.En colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Marbella, El Casino de Marbella, Target Events y el hotel H10 Andalucia Plaza, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Marbella acoge durante una semana la proyección de películas de sus Festivales pasados en un cine al aire libre en la Plaza de Antonio Banderas en Puerto Banús, con una gran audiencia informándose de las películas presentadas.
Las películas proyectadas fueron una mezcla de cortos, animación, documentales y largometrajes de Reino Unido, España, Estados Unidos, Italia, Irán, India, Irlanda, Rusia y muchos otros países.
Era la primera vez que el Festival proyectaba películas al aire libre en Marbella como parte de su tour mundial y para muchos espectadores se convirtió en un evento nocturno de una semana de duración.
Se podría adelantar que debido al éxito y la colaboración obtenidos, las proyecciones al aire libre durante el Festival Internacional de Cine de Marbella se convertirán a partir de ahora en un evento anual durante el mes de agosto, trayendo así noches culturales gratuitas y accesibles a todos los visitantes de Puerto Banús.
